Hum... That's what I did. Unfortunately, it didn't revert to the default theme.
Instead it was another theme (the same as safe mode, which I was able to find) but still no options buttons.
So I had no options left but download the last firmware and re-install it. Surprisingly, the only thing I lost is the "Recent Books" history. None of my ebooks, settings, nor pbimageviewer were gone.
So, good news!
