I just got a new phone that I'm reluctant to root, so I've decided to migrate from Aldiko to Moon+ Reader entirely for the sync feature. What a disappointment! I want to say "why haven't they fixed this yet?" but I guess the answer is too many different hardware and software configurations.
New phone is a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, running Android 5.0.2. Other device is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. Both devices seem to read and write bookmarks, but the tablet doesn't seem to either upload or download book files (I've tried PDF, epub, and mobi formats). The phone seems to upload books, not sure if it downloads.
The odd thing is that I think book upload and download worked on both devices when I first tried it, very late at night, which is why I didn't just get a refund. Then it stopped working on the tablet in the morning.
