One other recent "import" tradition in the UK is
Panettone, which comes from Italy. This wonderful light fluffy bread/cake is filled with things like dried fruit and candied peels, and often with a range of flavours. It also makes an excellent base for bread-and-butter pudding.
(I'm slightly worried that almost all of my Christmas Traditions seem to involve food.....
