Have you tried covers other than the official Kindle sleep cover from Amazon? The Fintie covers are quite a bit lighter than the Amazon. They have the auto on/off feature but don't add a significant amount of weight to the device.

I don't know of a pouch that has the auto on/off feature--there may be some out there. They'd be device specific though because the magnet that turns the PW on off would need to be located in a specific place.
