Greetings,

Has anyone here found or built vlc for armv5 and tried it on the pocket edge?

The build environment is quite exacting according to comments in the vlc mailing lists and the process fraught with perils. How about any other successes with streaming media on this device? 'mplayer' works well enough on armv7 android but again there doesn't seem to be a build suitable for the pxa168 readily available.

The Marvell datasheet for the SoC states that it is targeted to IPTV and multimedia devices and does have a form of GPU (hardware acceleration) but I have no idea if the SDK is available or used by any current projects.
