Ran some quick "tests" with other fonts...

I use Microsoft's Verdana everywhere to get that consistent look'n feel across applications and the problem crops up when I specify a fontsize of less than 8pts in Calibre's preferences.

I switched to Arial (~Helvetica) and also Tahoma (a narrow version of Verdana) and the problem does not occur.

The problem now is that I want to stick with Verdana everywhere decision (most legible font at small sizes on low-res devices such as computer screens) and 8pts is a tad too large — does not let me display enough data on Calibre's main screen.

This shouldn't happen... especially with such a widely-used font as Verdana.

Not sure what the procedure is but I guess I should report this as a Calibre bug...?

Thanks,

CJ
