iBooks DRM (Fairplay) is exclusive to Apple. The only way to get a DRM'd iBook is from their store and then downloaded into the iBooks app or with iTunes.

The more commonly used DRM from Adobe (Adept) requires a Content Server to apply the DRM and the books are encrypted to the account that downloads them.

Easiest way to get either is to "buy" a free book that has DRM from one of the eBook stores.
