Ladies, Gents, and OmniOmega:

Excuse me, but do I understand that you used some tool (that nobody here has ever heard of, which doesn't bode well to begin with) to create a fixed-format book? And the FF Book, you're trying to publish through Smashwords?

You can't publish FF books through Smashwords, for one thing. What's happening--as happens in ALL Fixed-Format books, if one doesn't know any better--is that somehow, in SW's intake process, they're corrupting the book display size, because the cover--which is now too large for the original viewport--is altering it.

So: either get a Mac, or find another distributor that can and will accept FF ePUBs (most won't, BTW). Otherwise, you'll simply keep running into this scenario.

N.B.: it's possible that SW has changed their policies, but I don't think that they have.
