Well, if you like audiobooks as much as I do then April has been moving full bore (and I do mean
bore). If you saw our sock-shapred host's post
here, then you'll already know Sync is coming May 7. I'm excited. I'm impatient. In an attempt to channel that energy into something positive I'll post some freebies I've stumbled across that haven't been mentioned yet each week for the next couple of weeks to tide you over.
I had planned on starting out with RadioArchives, but someone beat me to it earlier in the week (see
above). Instead, let's talk about
TryAudiobooks. This is a promotional site set up by Random House to try and hook in curious new listeners. They've been using this site instead of their primary web site for the last couple of years for most of their freebies, and they have only just recently updated the site. You had to be thorough to catch this one, but hey - it's me.

If you go
here, you can get "The Secret History of The Pink Carnation" by Lauren Willig. It looks to be a kind of historical fiction, romance, and thriller rolled into one. If you're too lazy to go to the page,
here should be a direct link to the audio.
That's it for now. I'll try and keep this up for a couple of weeks to tide you over until the real fun begins. By then our strangely-silent host will likely return from chasing bananas to share all the Sync-related love. Until then...
Enjoy!
