We lost one of our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels last night - Trey, aka Lord Barksdale, aka Sir Spuds. He was a lovely guy (my current avatar) that we rescued 5 years ago. We got almost no warning, but all the horror that had been done to him by a greedy vet and well-meaning but foolish owners finally took its toll. He was a loving and delightful lap dog, and while I will miss him dreadfully, my DW is completely shattered. He was her special guy.
