I should have been more clear, that was a terrible way to start a thread, and a horrible first post in the forum! After reading iffy reviews of Android based readers, as well as considering the attractive price point of old hardware I think rooting a nook is my best bet. NewsRob and Instafetch should meet my two biggest needs. Please, if I'm wrong, or yall have a better suggestion, please let me know!
Now, just need to decide on which one. I'd like the backlight, but I'm most interested in optimal performance. Does the root work better on any one device?
