In the *real world*? Heck, I don't even know a lot of people who read, let alone have interest in buying ereaders, let alone have interest in buying ereader-tablets.

Keep in mind -- they know what they are getting, and just because one or two people have complaints, doesn't mean everyone does. The most vocal people are always the people with problems.
Apparently it is still popular enough for the companies in question to keep coming out with new models.
