Correct -- syncing collections with calibre requires jailbreaking, which is no longer possible on the PW2 and never possible on the KV/KT2.
(It does, however, work if you went to the effort of jailbreaking over a serial port.)

Personally, I find Collections far more enriching than folder structure. I can file books in multiple collections, for example.

And since I am on fw<=5.4.0 I can also have nested, hierarchical collections. Beat that.
