As I understand it from the KT2 Exposed thread you use the MicroFTX, but this doesn't seem to be sold at the moment. Are there any other suitable UART to USB with 1.8V? It seems very hard to find one with the correct voltage.

Sometimes the things you find on-line tend to age quickly.
The MicroFTX adapter I mentioned in the "KT2 Exposed" thread seems to be a one person project.
So I suppose that it would be easy for the "Kindle Demand" to run them out-of-stock.
An e-mail to that person, on his site, might yield information on his plans (to re-stock, etc).
And if you do, an update here would be nice.

Yes, there is another "recommended" adapter - as a wire cable.
Built by FTDI - It should be documented on this forum, and it should be indexed under the "Serial Port" section of the master index.
A link to the master index can be found in the first post of the sticky "Where do I start?" thread.
The FTDI adapter cable is more expensive, but it doesn't require the external 1v8 reference input.
(And when this site started to "recommend" the FTDI cable, FTDI ran out of stock from the "Kindle Demand". Note that FTDI
**is not** a one-person operation.
Twobob actually contacted the factory and explained to them why all of their adapters had suddenly disappeared from the stock of their distributors, world-wide. They increased their production to meet the demand.)

The "KT2 Exposed" thread (or maybe this thread - I post too much) has been updated with a link to a thread with photos of where to get the 1v8 reference voltage on a PW2 board.

You might want to start your own thread (prefix: Hardware) where you can put all the current information that you gather along with the events of your efforts.
That would also give people a single thread in which to post replies to any questions you have along the way.
