That is because the price isn't spectacular.
It has the same components as the old Glo/Aura 6". Probably more Aura 6". (forget that there is no mSD slot). IMHO, the only difference is the screen, which is updated to a Carta generation screen and has a higher dpi. And that is a good thing as the screen is probably the most important component. It proves that 1GHz processors are not equal.
But I wish that Netronix had updated the CPU and touch responsiveness and accuracy as those are the weakest components of Kobo devices.
On the otherhand, I do agree with you that the price is spectacular when compared to the Kindle Voyage. Which I found and find heavily overpriced. But maybe worth it or more convenient if you have bought most books through Amazon.
