Unfortunately, there are some problems with font embedding for languages covered by the code2000 Unicode fallback font, which covers pretty much all non-Latin Unicode ranges (except for Greek, Cyrillic and CJK characters). For example, embedded Arabic fonts are not being rendered correctly. For more information, see this post.
Since Indic languages also have letters that are combined with vowel signs, embedded Indic fonts might also be rendered incorrectly.
