That person obviously isn't familiar at all with the areas to touch for Kobo firmware. To bring up the fonts, he kept hitting in the upper left corner, which might flip the page back one, but that's not the area to bring up any menus on Kobo readers. Pages can turn slow if there might be a poorly formatted book on the device, also the temperature of the device will affect page turns. I've seen many reviews where the page turns were outright sluggish on readers that I use and know they don't have those problems and no way should have taken that long, so I'll wait until I can see one myself and not take that video as proof of anything.

You probably missed the sentence where I said
And no, I don't want to make all my fall/winter/spring gloves weird looking by sewing on conductive thread myself to save money. Yeah, I really have no interest in doing that for 20 pairs of gloves, especially on $50+ pairs of gloves for the really cold weather.
