Here's my experience with Scribd: Great selections, especially audiobooks! But very flaky on my iphone 6plus. ( Both the OS and the scribd app are right up to date. ) Problems with audiobooks include freezes between chapters, bookmarks not always being retained, and downloading stopping and starting (on wifi . . I've disabled cellular). Also, as to downloading, the queue seems rigid; order can't be changed, and, as I said, it sometimes freezes and won't do anything.
The good news: I've just started using it on a Kindle Fire (android) and it seems to work much better, though its too soon to say for sure. Unfortunately, if scribd is going to work for me, it has to work on the iphone.
Tech support is courteous, but slow. Most important, not that helpful. Same old suggestions: log out and in, uninstall and re-install, etc. I had a round of this in the late fall, with no useful results, and am just circling back to it now. I think the tech people would be great if theyhad answers, but they don't.
In short, I'm very discouraged and looking for alternatives.
