Wow, the sad puppies have really succeeded in ruining it for everyone. Round of sarcastic applause.

I doubt I'll be bothering with a supporting membership this year. I really want to read the Goblin Emperor, but I guess I'll just buy it the old way. I already own Ancillary Sword, and I've already read Lines of Departure (which I liked, but not as much the first one.) From a quick glance, the other categories stink, and I dont think I want to clutter up my TBR with all that garbage.

Ekaros: The Hugos have never been "controlled". They are open to anyone willing to pay for a Worldcon membership, as is clearly demonstrated by this shortlist. This is just a way that these people can cast themselves as oppressed victims to rally support. Sure, I didn't think Redshirts was that great, either, but this is so far from being the answer. Ugh.
