How about e.book?

In the discussions about how to spell eBook/ebook/e-book I haven't seen a suggestion I really liked.

eBook is a horrid computer-tech spelling, and doesn't work at the start of sentences; ebook looks like it's pronounced ebbuk; e-book is just odd -- e is hardly a word in its own right to be made into a compound with a hyphen.

Electronic Book is what we mean - so why not using the standard notation for an abbreviation -- and use e.book.

E.book even works well as the first word in a sentence.
