K2 does not support anything but Mobi (old)
K3 and up can still use that, but AZW3 has more options (Publisher styles enabled on the device)

So, your choice to do a EPUB to AZW3 conversion

NOTE: converting Mobi to AZW3 gains nothing unless you then edit (enhance) the AZW3
