User dictionaries are in the file prefs.json file, which is in the configuration directory, which can be opened via the main GUI program (library manager), go to
Preferences->Miscellaneous and click

What happens if you add the compound word (using non breaking hyphen) to a user dictionary manually - there
could be a language dependency.
