My husband bought me a subscription to Next Issue (he's in the trial period; "bought" will come in the future). It's one of those subscriptions where you get the latest issue of an assortment of magazines each month for a flat rate. I've been reading The New Yorker, in place of one of my time-fillers, so I might end up falling *way* behind if I decide to keep up with it.

It turns out I really like the interface for reading The New Yorker through Next Issue on my phone (I don't know how it compares to the actual New Yorker digital copy; it might be the exact same one) and I have been reading that instead of pretty much anything else.
I expected to finish one more book before the end of this month, but it didn't happen. I think this will not be record-breaking Read Books year, but as long as I can finish at least one book every month, I'm okay with that, since I'm still reading.
