White Kindle announced in Japan
A White (non-Paperwhite, non-Voyage) Kindle has just been announced in Japan, to ship April 8. Got an email announcement from them today.

Price is JPY 6,980, or USD 58.22 for special offers, JPY 8,980 / USD 74.92 for ad-free.

Looks like Amazon Japan is still holding their ereader prices down below US levels to encourage more people to buy ebooks. There are still a lot of publishers that are paper-only at this point, though it's been gradually improving.
