After a compare getting the basic
Checked out the paper white 2 against a new basic and I'm gonna get the basic, to me the screen has better contrast and sharpness compared to the PW2 with the light at the lowest setting. I already have a fire 6 I want something for reading on the deck, the new basic is thin and well built
