Nope -- I use calibre, which can send stuff to an email address. I set it up to use my email account to email books to my send-to-kindle email address.
calibre is already what I use to manage all my ereading anyway.
Granted, I mostly deal with ebooks, not web articles. But calibre can fetch news articles, and there are a number of people who seem to heavily use that feature, and ensure the news recipes are up to date, and there are recipes for many sites... so that could work very well too.
Definitely don't use the desktop send-to-kindle app (the browser extensions could be useful though) since it really has no benefits.
