Hi Jeff and welcome to the Forum. I was in the exact same category last year. I was hoping for a gift certificate that I could turn into a Sony Reader but when that didn't materialize, I walked into the SonyStyle Store ready to pay full price when, to my delight, the clerk informed me they had three 505's that had been window displays and I could buy one for $170. Four hours later I was happily reading away.
I've had it going on a year now and am still delighted with it.
