Even if ADE 1.7.2 or 2.x are not OK in Windows 10, you could go the crazy route of installing a small Linux installation into a virtual machine, and then run ADE 1.7.2 through Wine. (Yeah... use a virtualized Linux to run an older Windows-program. What's the world coming to?)
