I have a long commute each day and am using Audible for several of my re-read favorites, LOtR, Hobbit, Sherlock Holmes, to name a few. It's interesting to me to hear the reader emphasize and pronounce things differently than I have. It seems to give new interest and life to my old friends. For instance, in the Hobbit the reader pronounced Oin and Gloin with an Oh-ween and Gloh-ween and, possibly because I'm southern, I always heard Oh-win and Gloh-win in my thought narrator. I also never noticed the use of the word carven to describe Gandalf's staff I just read carved. I like the former much better. It seems to give more warmth to the phrase.
