I've downloaded the following UK Sunday paper The Observer feeds for several weeks:
http://observer.guardian.co.uk/rss
http://www.guardian.co.uk/theobserver/review/rss
http://www.guardian.co.uk/theobserver/magazine/rss
http://www.guardian.co.uk/theobserve...media/cash/rss
Many of the articles don't get downloaded: only the summary shows - the URL for the page it has supposedly been downloaded from is given, and going to that page in a browser shows the whole article. I notice that the feed sometimes contains full articles and sometimes only summaries, so I suppose calibre is unable to download the pages: I do have a sign-in for the Guardian/Observer this might be necessary (though I can access the page when not signed in in another browser) - is this the problem?...however I tried setting the password requirement and entered it: got a download but no different.
While doing this, a second icon for Calibre appeared in the Dock, right-clicking showed 'application not responding' and I had to force-quit it - this had no effect on the copy of calibre which was already running. (I found later that quitting calibre removed both icons without the force-quit).
