I want to store my vast library on a new external drive I purchased.

I went through browsing/finding a new folder I created on the external and selected to move my library.

However - only PART of it copied over. About 50%. And the location of my library is still listed as my laptop.

Any understanding as to what might have happened, and how I might correct this?

TIA,

How was the drive formatted (the file system type)?

How did you do the copy (O/S or use Calibre)?

As long as the drive connection/power is reliable (cat proof )

Speaking of Power. How is the drive powered (IMHO External is better than USB only.)
