@joreveur - editing the metadata does NOT update the book format files (EPUB, MOBI, PDF, DOCX etc), it updates the database.

If you want the new metadata written to the book format files in the library use the Embed Metadata tool. You may need to add it to the toolbars. Note: not all formats support all metadata fields, EPUB is best,

If you send a format file to a device or save it to disk it will be sent/saved with the updated metadata from the database - i.e. the Embed will be done on the sent/saved file - but your library remains untouched.
