Hampshire Nanny, I get that. It's so easy to be distracted. I have too many ereaders and Ipods - so it's pretty easy to get distracted. The thing is, in the 'old days', I had a hard time finding authors whose books I wanted to read. With ebooks, shoot, there are SO MANY choices and they are so easily obtainable that it's like being in a candy store. It's also easier to get info ON good books - you just have to find a good source for your genre.
It's also easy to get distracted by freebees. I've abandoned my 5th book of the year and it's only March. This one was a freebee. I've decided to just trash anything that is in certain genres in my freebee library. The problem is that it's sometimes difficult to tell if the book is junk or backlist from a good writer that I don't know yet. At least this time, I only wasted 2 hours.
