That's an interesting way to do it (if you have an unused WiFi card in your computer available). I hadn't seen this before (at least not that I remember). I think for home -- considering the price of WiFi routers these days, that it would more practical to just buy a cheap router (you wouldn't have to keep your computer turned on, for one thing).
