Black (not blank) screen with small white writing on my Kobo Touch...

Hello,

I recently plugged my Kobo touch into my computer, to check if there were any updates. My Kobo desktop told me there was an update for Kobo desktop, so I installed the update. My Kobo then synced to Kobo Desktop, and I used Kobo Desktop to eject my device.

Upon ejecting the device, the screen went black (not blank or white), and there appears to be '[[1~ or something similar in the upper right corner. I have tried to plug the device back in & it lights green, but is unresponsive. I have tried to hold the power button for 10 seconds & I have done a basic reset, all unresponsive with the black screen.

The battery to my device was fully charged before I did all these steps.

Anyone have any insight? All the information I can find so far doesn't seem to be similar to my black screen problem. I haven't done a factory reset yet but I'm not sure if that would fix things so thought I would try anything else first...

Thanks!
