While on the subject of battery life, how close to reality is Amazon's claim of only needing to charge the battery every two months at 30 minutes of use per day? That's 30 hours of use on a charge. This assumes WiFi is off.
I don't get anything close to that, but my use is not typical. I use the browser to read newspaper and magazine articles every day. I made a doc of links to all my regularly visited sites (much better than the "experimental browser" bookmarks) and find fetching fast enough (with images off) and articles highly readable in "article mode." Sometimes if I'm home and I'm sitting at my desktop computer, I'll use The Kindle for web browsing long articles. I do this about one hour a day, on average, and judging by the battery icon, it looks like a full charge would last about 10 hours.
For those of you who just download and read books, does the battery icon state at 75% or 50% suggest 30 hours of your typical use per charge?
