By default Calibre will sort series dropping the A, An or The (library_order within Calibre settings). When you're first setting the series though from the drop down box within the Edit metadata windows, there the series are listed strictly alpha, so "The Pillars of Earth" will be under "The" instead of "Pillars".

Is there anyway to set that drop down listing in the preferences so they'll be in sort order rather than alpha? So it would be "Pillars of Earth, The". I looked but couldn't find a way, but hoping I'm missing it.

My other choice is to edit all series dropping the A, An and The off them, but as I started doing that, I wondered if there was a way I'm missing to sort them in the drop down box.
