I force updated both my nexus 7 2012 and nexus 5 using nexus root toolkit.
The Nexus 7 works a lot better actually feel it is working better than when it was on KitKat but I haven't used KitKat in long time so might be placebo. In the nexus 5 apps closing or crashing has stopped. And I haven't felt any slow down or lag with a large number of apps opened.

Seems a good update I would recommend people using stock unlocked or rooted nexus devices to use it nexus root toolkit to update as you can flash the whole factory rom without loosing data.
If you are unrooted and locked you can use it to update as well but will loose the data.
