In any case, the care should not be entirely inappropriate in MR. This can include improvements of own posts. But that is what can very quickly lead to incomprehensibility of the thread to later readers.
To help minimize this potential consequence I miss in the toolbar the
tool 'Striket̶h̶r̶o̶u̶g̶h̶'.
