I started with The Light Fantastic and I was hooked, but I liked Rincewind and the poking fun at the whole wizarding thing.

My advice to most of my friends is to start with Equal Rites which might be my favourite Discworld title. I love the witches. Otherwise Mort is a nice start. I'm not as big a fan of The Watch books which are hit or miss for me. Death and The Witches always hit me in the right spot.
