That's not currently possible.
Note that the difference in an .htm, .html .xhtml is cosmetic only. There is no functional difference.

Personally meaningful AND in bulk?! That sounds a bit like magic. The best you can hope for is highlighting all the chapter files and entering a start value of chapter_001 and letting them increment automatically. That's what the bulk rename feature is for. Things like title, dedication, epigraph, acknowledgements, copyright, or about_the_author you're going to have to do manually, and one at a time.
