What reader do you use? AlReader has eink settings and I chose to refresh every page. It doesn't do a visible refresh, but the font stays pretty clear. I also use Moon+ Pro and find that if I use the "fade in" page animation the font looks pretty good most of the time.

I'm using the FB2 Reader but the full refresh setting was 2. I hadn't noticed that I could scroll up and select 1. Much better now
