Heat of the Sun ( PBS, Wikipedia) is an excellent ITV miniseries done in the late 90s, which has Trevor Eve in it starring as an ex-London cop who shoots an unsavoury but highly politically connected man in the line of duty and gets quietly reshuffled to 1930s Kenya colony as the new Nairobi Superintendent of Police to get rid of him.

Yes, I remember watching it on PBS, and then again on Amazon Prime. Sadly they only did 5 episodes, so far as I can tell. It was a series that I thought had a lot of potential to go further, but apparently ITV didn't agree.
Unfortunately, the price of admission to the Suzanne Arruda series is $10.99 for the first one and most of the rest. And not in the BC Library Downloads site.

I'll put it on my wishlist, and save it for when I'm feeling flush.
