Hummm, I usually reread between 12 and 30 books a year but as I read between 250 and 400 books a year it is a small percentage (one of the joys of being old lol).

I can't understand the read and delete thing. I mark my read books with the date in calibre (date marking is new this year) but the idea of deleting a book lol... unthinkable.

I guess the fact that books take up no more room than an external hard drive or two makes it so much easier to keep books and even to revisit them.

I find myself going back to reread a book in a series when the main character in the new book was a bit part in a previous book.

I guess growing up in a rural area with no friends living near enough to visit often made my books into my "friends" lol.
