Not sure how often I will use this in real life situations. I don't carry my Fire around when I go out and about. I am thinking this is more useful on the fire phone.
I don't have kids, but I an see how that could keep them entertained for a while.
It gets songs too I think, although I didn't try it yet. On the TV show it puts all the info on the screen with a handy link to the instant video store.

It won't work when you are 'out and about', unless you have an internet connection. So it makes a little more sense on Fire Phone, which most people will have a data plan for.
But most places I spend any time in have accessible wifi so I'll use it enough. I may have to punch a hole in my cover so that the camera can see things with the cover folded back.
