The Hanlin has a longer battery life than the Cybook, probably about the same as the Sony (I'm not sure anyone has ever done a direct comparison). Like the Sony, there is no need to turn off the Hanlin. The Hanlin uses a replaceable Nokia compatible cell phone battery.
