Simply use kindlegen, as all KDP authors are supposed to. It will output a .mobi file containing the book formatted as both MOBI and AZW3.
If you like you can use media queries to style the book differently depending on format, e.g. use embedded fonts for dropcaps in KF8 and some sort of fallback for MOBI.
