Ran Dependency Walker on Sigil 0.8.4 x64, which found the following files missing:
API-MS-WIN-CORE-COM-L1-1-0.DLL
API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-ERROR-L1-1-0.DLL
API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-L1-1-0.DLL
API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-ROBUFFER-L1-1-0.DLL
API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-STRING-L1-1-0.DLL
API-MS-WIN-SHCORE-SCALING-L1-1-0.DLL
DCOMP.DLL
IESHIMS.DLL

The same files missing on Sigil Portable 0.8.4 - which works fine for single books (haven't tested on multiple books since installing it)

Uninstalled 64 bit version - installed the 32 bit version of 0.8.4:
Same files missing, but it starts and doesn't crash on single book edits (Only tested for a few changes and not on multiple books)

Read the suggested links and found nothing to help.

Before installing x64 version I had uninstalled and reinstalled MS Visual C++ 2013 REdist. x86/x64 12.0.30501.
Installing x64 made no changes, but I ran repair on them anyway - no change.
This morning when I installed x86 version it also added MS Visual C++ 2013 REdist. 12.0.21005

Checked Event Viewer and the only error using the 32 bit version was:
Faulting application name: Sigil.exe, version: 0.8.4.0, time stamp: 0x54d01d5b
Faulting module name: atioglxx.dll_unloaded, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4a8a0dde
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x03630910
Faulting process id: 0x16f8
Faulting application start time: 0x01d054670245cedb
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Sigil\Sigil.exe
Faulting module path: atioglxx.dll
Report Id: 9073bc56-c05a-11e4-b69d-e0cb4e3fc0b7

Installed a display driver update via Windows Optional Update - and now the 64bit version is starting with no errors. Usually I update directly from the mfg. website because of past problems with the MS update version, but the MS was the only update. Also I haven't had any display issues for well over a year. Also, there were no errors regarding the ATI driver previously.

The MS Visual C++ 2013 Redist. 12.0.21005 was not removed and the x64 version was added back after installing the 64bit version

Note: first time starting took almost 10 long seconds, but subsequent starts within a second.
Restarted - still working. Wasn't going to work on computer today so I will do more testing later and advise if any changes.

Note: the above files still showing as missing.
