I'm starting to wonder.
I had a Nook Wifi, wanted to give it to kid. We could not unregister the device, no way, no how. Barnes and Noble Nook service couldn't do it, either. I wanted something newer and I preferred the TOS pf Kobo. It's a nice little reader, I like the light. It uses an ext_sd card, so all I had to do was plug card in from Nook. Found all the books and all opened.
I'm going to give it a bit more time. I've left it on sleep rather than turn off, I bought a case that will let it stand up - perfect for my use. I'll see if it stops in case I was squeezing it a bit too hard while holding it. If it still jumps, I will have to see about returning it.
I got the tablet 3 weeks ago - I ordered it from Kobo in Canada. The east has been having the horrific cold, so I was thinking that if ereader sat in colder than normal temps during shipping, it might have affected the touch screen. Some things are slowly improving with use.
I'll see if anyone answers about the Kindle with a similar problem.
Is there any particular department or do you just email customer service?
