Please read the question again. My interpretation is that the Sony is an "EX" in that it wasn't being used; the KOBO is now the device in question of accessing the library.
The post being moved should be moved to where ever the KOBO section & NOT the Sony.
But then I don't know if the KOBO device is an e-ink or tablet since it wasn't mentioned. The KOBO is the device that the OP wants to use to access the library for books & have read some postings about using "side-loaded" reading apps, I think.

Well then my friend your interpretation would be wrong. The OP's Sony device is the device he/she has. NOT a Kobo. Kobo has taken over the software on the Sony device which the OP used to be able to use to directly borrow library books from. A T2 is a Sony device not a Kobo. If you don't know enough about either Sony or Kobo to answer the question to be of assistance, then perhaps you should simply make use of the back button and not wade into the discussion.
OP, check to make sure you have the latest firmware on your Sony PRS-T2. I have the T1 and T3 both with the latest firmware and both are able to access and borrow books from the library directly. There were issues earlier about getting the library books on the software on the PC but that has been fixed. Good luck!
